Indianapolis, IN | Meeting Planning Overview

USA Today's #1 Convention City in the U.S. was strategically designed for major conventions and events. Indianapolis' unmatched connectivity and convenience is highlighted by having more hotel rooms connected by climate-controlled skywalks to the convention center than any other city, and more is in store. Indy just approved plans for a 235,000 sq. ft. expansion of the Indiana Convention Center and an additional 1,414 rooms connected in two Hilton-affiliated towers. The expansion will include a 50,000 sq. ft. ballroom and is anticipated to open in late 2022. This will bring the number of rooms connected into the center to 6,100 at 14 properties. Along with other developments in the pipeline, Indy will soon offer more than 10,000 rooms in walking distance of the center. Over 250 restaurants and 50 attractions are also just steps away. Indy is known as a sports capital and the racing capital of the world. The city is also home to one of the nation's largest urban state parks, world-class cultural institutions, chef-owned restaurants, the world's largest children's museum, the original LOVE sculpture, and more monuments dedicated to our nation's veterans than any other city aside from Washington, DC.
